PHD's (No not Post Hole Diggers- Hoss) says aluminum can is 10 time stronger than our skin
and we show the damage a blank will do. We use a 22, 45, and 12 gauge shot gun on the
cans. It's very effective on children AND adults to see what we are talking about rather than just facts.... Our gun
safety program is sponsered by The Missouri Valley Arms Association. see

We were also able to shoot a Pedersen
device that is rarer than the Gatling gun. Thank you to Steve Adams and family for
allowing the Vigilante's to use their property for the Gatling gun shoot. What fun we had
shooting up a piano that was older than the Gatling gun.

KANSAS COWTOWN COWBOY
GATHERING
Age
of the Gunfighter weekend at Old Cow town Museum this past weekend turned out great.
The weather was hot, the food was great, and from what we saw- the local volunteers, guest
re-enactors, and visitors all had a blast.
It
is so wonderful getting to work with lots of other gun fighting groups. We all learn from
each other like a big happy gun fighting family.
Kitt
and Katt Kolt along with Miss Rose and Ringo went to the Cowboy gathering in Wichita KS>
Gun fights along with our Doc (Ringo) and Kitt twirling their guns plus our Gun Safety
education for the public. Our hopes in this endeavor is to save at least one life and for
others to understand the importance of not handling an unattended gun. We are supported by our great MVACA Gun Club of
KCMO.
Thanks to all the groups that went to Cowtown this weekend!
Many
thanks to all who showed up to make this event come alive.
August 30th-
Holden
Parade and the Naming of our New Town-
The
name of our new town is.... SUNNY SPRINGS! We decided on this name after Sunny Spencer,
father of Valerie Spencer
LeMaster, father-in-law to Gary LeMaster . Sunny
Spencer was a member of "The Sons of the Pioneers". So, everytime you look at
our town we would like you to think of the Spencer/LeMaster family.of the Spencer/ LeMaster family. But we did NOT forget our fans
For
those who you that don't know about Sunny Spencer, click the link below and enjoy his
story. At Sunny's funeral, Rick Poe aka GW Poe, David Chastain aka Kitt Kolt
and the late Alan Hilsabeck aka Sundance ( Gertrude Jenkins) were ushers.
As
much fun as it was naming our town, then winning 1st place, the most fun and exciting
thing for us was educating and swearing in all the kids.
Check out the Painting Downtown
Harrisonville by the Old court house!
A
painting done by a Civil War Artist out of Butler MO which was interested in Kitt Kolt's
character-" Deputy Vern"- while he was doing Gun Safety, so he used his profile
to paint on this picture which is on the SW side of the Harrisonville Court house square.
Kitt is the only one with the "white" hat

October
Had
a wonderful evening at the 7th annual Campfire and Smokehouse Cookin, hosted by Thomas
Gregory and Gwy Benda .
Great
Food and Great Friends plus we gave gun safety education for those in attendance. They
took the oath and are now Jr. Missouri Valley Vigilantes. Our own G.W. Poe accepted
recognition for all of his service to the public and community. Thank You G.W.
The
soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments were the first to be called "Buffalo
Soldiers". According to legend, Native Americans gave the troopers that name because
their fighting spirit reminded the Indian of the buffalo. The soldiers accepted it as a
term of respect and honor.
Thank you Thomas Gregory!
